Yesterday, I was furiously searching for Helthy Choice fudge bars at the local supermarket after an awkward encounter at the doctor's. Hint: no morning should begin with a 60-something-year-old Indian man asking you if you're "active"...ever. At least give me my latte first. So, anyways, I was looking for these irrestible chocolate treats and I just so happened to stumble upon the most fabulous collection of clothes I've seen in Ottawa in a looooong time. In 2006, Loblaws began to incorporate discounted family clothes into their superstores. The collection was called Joe Fresh and was designed by the super fabulous Joe Mimran (founder of Club Monaco). So the collection basically looks like an H&M was plopped in between aisles of dairy and meat. Awesome? So, of course, the fudge bars automatically get pushed to the back of my mind while I search through the garments. To be completely honest, the clothes LOOK nice, but also a bit ill fitting. It seems as if the size 6 is actually an extra large to make middle aged mommies feel better about themselves. Oh well, any place that says I'm an extra small is ok by me;). If you haven't been yet, take a look, you'll probably be surprised by the collection, or at the very least impressed that a supermarket could have such style. To make a long story short (for once), I ended up drifting to the men's section and purchasing a men's dress shirt similar to the new dress shirts at AA, in a nice oxford blue. Oh, and it didn't hurt that even though AA is selling theirs for a whopping 62 bucks, I got mine for about $14. I also picked up a cute black floppy sunhat, for a lovely $6. Altogether I probably spent less on my new outfit then I would have on my pricey fudge bars:P. Here's how I wore my new shirt today...
