mum's the word.

Man, y'all really take the saying "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" pretty seriously huh? I was expecting a flood of emails of "your boots are so ugly..." jokes in my inbox this morning, and I'm kind of disappointed that they don't seem to be noteworthy enough for folks like yourself to bother. I even braced myself when I strapped them on for school yesterday and the most I got was a "since they're basically made of rubber, do you feel like you're landing on the moon when you walk?" joke. I suppose my expectations for ridicule were set too high for once.

What I'm wearing:
cardigan: AE
Shirt: Thakoon for Target
skirt: AA
tights: Walmart
shoes: Aldo
jacket: H&M
backpack: asos

This is basically the last thing I bought in DC. We went to a nearby Target and of course I had to browse the designer for section. I have to say, I was pretty indifferent to a lot of the Thakoon stuff, but there were a few good basics. I really loved this beige gauze shirt, especially with the pleating and the buttons going all the way down. I really wanted a pair of these wicked cropped menswear pants but the fit was horrible. Also, I must say, I may never use a purse again. This backpack I got off of the asos website in the men's section for $7 and I use it every day. It even holds my laptop. I love it so so so much. Anyways, I'm off to find a take out menu, slip into my most comfortable Primp thermal pjs, and download Lars and the Real Girl. Ciao my friends. xxoo.

I absolutely love your blog! Great job and those Aldo shoes are to die for...

As a suggestion though, I think there is a more flattering angle you could be taking your pictures at. Because I'm sure you're a small girl but sometimes the angle makes it deceiveing.

Keep up the fabulous outfits!!!

Nicolette, I completely agree with you that because I have to use a self timer on top of my tv in my room, I don't always get the best angle because it's basically shooting me from too low to the ground, making my bottom half look bigger. I'd really appreciate it if you'd keep the discussion towards the styling not my body though (good or bad) from now on. Thanks for the sweet comments.

I love the Marni inspired shoes and that backpack!

I was pretty underwhelmed by Thakoon for Target, too, so underwhelmed that I didn't even notice that shirt and now I regret not looking a little closer.

Your blog is really lovely. Unfortunately the photos are a bit dark, so I cannot see your outfits perfectly, but you do look pretty!
